Tuition & Payment
TUITION Please contact me for current rates.
Tuition
Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. It reserves your student’s exclusive lesson time throughout the year.
covers the cost of the lesson and teacher preparation time including planning and administrative duties necessary for running a successful studio.
includes 35 lessons for the Full Term of 10 months.
Tuition is charged by the term, billed as 10 monthly installments. The tuition is divided into equal monthly fixed installments. This provides students with an easy way to evenly distribute the total cost of lessons over the term. Payment stays the same regardless of the number of lessons a student actually receives in a single month even though some months may have 5 lessons, some have 3 lessons, and some include vacations and holidays.
Tuition is always due before or by the 1st of each month.
Tuition is pro-rated when: Students begin lessons mid-term.
Late charge : A late charge of $25 will be added to any balance that is not paid by the 6th day of the month.
PAYMENT

Misses Lessons
Please remember tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance and your tuition pays for far more than just lesson time with you or your child, therefore makeup lessons are not provided unless extreme emergencies arise.
If a student misses a lesson, they will simply miss the benefit of that lesson. NO Refunds, Credits, or Prorating are offered on missed lessons.
SICK DAYS Students who are suffering from colds or other infectious illnesses shall not be admitted to the studio. It is unfair for the ill student to spread infection to the teacher, or to other students. We reserve the right to cancel the lesson upon your arrival if you or your child is visibly ill, or if the child has stayed home from school. An online lesson (Zoom) is the preferred solution to this situation.
Online lessons (via Zoom) are available for students who are well enough to have a lesson but not well enough to leave home, or for situations such as lack of transportation. You must be logged on at your regular lesson time in other words this is not a make-up lesson for another time slot.
If your teacher is sick or has a conflict with a scheduled lesson, you will be offered appropriate options to make up for the missed lesson.
Snow days will be rescheduled and made up.

Vacation Weeks/Holidays
Ebru ’s Piano Studio follows Newton Public School Calendar. Piano lessons are not available on federal/national holidays & school vacation weeks. This has been factored into all payment plans. These days/weeks are excluded from the 36 week payment plans therefore, you are not charged for these days/weeks.
Practice Time
Daily practice is vital to musical progress.Students are encouraged to keep a practice record, and to work toward musical goals rather than simply counting minutes. Ideal duration of practice by age:
4-6 years old: 10-20 minutes / every other day to 5 days a week
9-11 years old: 25-30 minutes / at least 5 days a week
12-14 years old: 30-45 minutes / at least 5 days a week
15 and older: 45-60 minutes / at least 5 days a week
Recitals
Performance classes and recitals are extremely important to the development of performing skills. All students are encouraged to participate in the recitals. The annual Spring Recital is usually held in June. A performance class will be held before the Spring Recital.
A recital fee of $35 will be added to June payments for each student. This fee is to cover the piano hall rental and recital programs. Spring recital might be cancelled for everyone’s safety if Covid-19 is still in effect.
Punctuality
Piano lessons will finish at the same time no matter what time they start. Please be punctual as I have a tight schedule. Please pick up your child promptly at the end of his/her lesson each time.
Schedule
When you enroll for semesters you commit to a certain spot. A schedule change in the middle of the year might not be guaranteed.
Termination of lessons
If you would like to terminate piano lessons for any reason, a 30-day written notice is required and tuition must be paid for that month. This allows me time to try and fill that day and time slot with another student.
